Government Revenue and Development Estimations

The Government Revenue and Development Estimations (GRADE) tool was developed to translate the impact of increases or decreases in government revenue into measurable developmental outcomes.

Our Population of interest is children, women, and their families living in low-income and lower-middle-income countries, who are most affected by shifts in public financing.

We aim to equip decision-makers with the tools they need to make informed Interventions by generating evidence-based insights into the impact of debt service, taxation, and austerity…and the potential of public money creation.

The Outcomes we aim to support are improved development indicators—such as better health, education access, and reduced inequality—through policy reforms that prioritize equitable and sustainable revenue and spending strategies.
